The topical subject doing the rounds now in many large design organizations is about how Autodesk is abolishing the plain old network license and replacing the same with named user subscriptions. Packaged cleverly as get-two-licences-for-one deal, there is more than what meets the eye in this offer. The named subscriptions are restrictive, they tie your user access to real, named, actual usernames backed by an email and deprive the ability to just plug-and-play workstations into your computer network and starting doing your CAD work.
In today's world where man, machine and skill-sets are in high mobility zone, with the possibility of rapid up- and down-scaling, the Autodesk move is seen to be in complete contradiction to what the users want.
To help us understand this more and to explain the nuts and bolts of the same, Bricsys HQ is organizing two webinars over two weeks titled "BricsCAD vs OtherCAD: Network Licensing" on Jyly 28/29 and August 4/5 at two very convenient times.
July 28, 2020 : 2030 hrs (0830 PM) - India
July 29, 2020 : 0830 hrs (0830 AM) - India
August 4, 2020 : 2030 hrs (0830 PM) - India
August 5, 2020 : 0830 hrs (0830 AM) - India
This is going to be a different webinar, more of a conversation with Bricsys gurus. You can hear from them what this means for your organization and how you can hop on a much better alternative, that is not just 100% compatible but comes with friendlier and flexible policies as well.
If you believe in the adage "A bird in hand is worth two in the bush", this is probably going to make sense for you. One flexible license with a 40% lower OpEx is better than two inflexible licenses that cost significantly higher.
To know more about this offer, please do register and attend the webinar, and reach out to us for more information.
