We have released the 21st edition of our GeoTools and CADPower software for AutoCAD and BricsCAD and it is now available for download.
This new release is compatible with the latest AutoCAD 2021 version and all lower versions until AutoCAD 2012. Historically, the new release has been timed to coincide with the AutoCAD release and continues to do so, although now, with every passing year, we have a faster growth in our client-base using BricsCAD than AutoCAD.
The supported BricsCAD versions are V20, V19 and V18. It may work on BricsCAD V17 and lower versions as well but we are dropping technical support for pre-V18 versions of BricsCAD. Please also be aware that any new fixes and improvements will appear only in the current version and will not be applied to earlier versions. It really makes sense to stay current on your GeoTools-CADPower version and we have made the pricing structure even more attractive.

We are very excited about the V21 platform and continue with our efforts to improve the user experience, as well as bring in new tools. We have completed re-designed the ribbons for both the AutoCAD and BricsCAD versions of GeoTools and CADPower English and this is an ongoing process.
In the next few weeks, we will be releasing updated ribbons for the German and Portuguese(BR) versions as well. This is work in progress at our labs.
On the tools front, we are focusing on civil tools, alignments, cut and fill analysis, lot design and management tools,BOQ tools for AEC & manufacturing and on solving problems from the railways, transmission tower design and similar engineering design streams.

GeoTools-CADPower V21 comes with a lot of internal fixes, changes, improvements (to tools and UX). The German language translation and support is now almost 100% updated, and the Portuguese (BR) version is getting decked up as well.
Support for ZWCAD platform dropped: During the launch of V20, we announced the intention to support ZWCAD platform. The public release never happened at any point. Due to changed priorities, we have decided to drop this CAD platform from our portfolio. We encourage ZWCAD users to use our software on the BricsCAD platform, which is way ahead of others today.
As informed in my earlier post, there is a small price revision in place. GeoTools & CADPower V21 list price increases by 18% for new licenses and the upgrade cost (or subscription/maintenance) has been reduced by about 20%.
So, the new cost of acquiring a GeoTools-CADPower license goes up slightly but the overall cost of ownership for our software is going to reduce going forward.
