CADPower V 20.15 Update
Bug fix/enhanced command: CP_BOM: CADPower -> BOM/BOQ Tools -> Create Bill of Materials/Quantities:
The CP_BOM command has been improved again. In the 'Count Attribute Values' workflow, significant improvements have been made in the direction of consistent behavior. It is now possible to scan all the attribute values from specified blocks in the drawing and add them to the INI file as a template.
When the drawing is scanned and the attribute values are added to the INI file, a clear message is displayed specifying which attributes were added new and which ones already existed in the INI file.
A similar reporting improvement has been made in the 'Count Block Names' work-flow also. When you add selected block names to the INI file, you will now get a clear list report on the command line about which blocks were added and which ones already existed.
Table Grand Totals - A New Row added at the bottom
The totals row in the table is new in v 20.15 - Applies both to 'Count Attribute Values' and 'Multiple Named Blocks'
You can now compute total cost and total cost of all items from the table
The Grand Total - A New Last Row added to the Quantity Table
In another minor but significant improvement, both the 'Count Attribute Values' as well as 'Multiple Named Blocks' now display the total time and total cost of all items in the table.
(Fixed command): CP_ABOUT (CADPower -> More Options -> About CADPower)
Th CP_ABOUT command was crashing with a bad argument type error if it was the first command to be called after startup. This has been fixed now.
GeoTools V 20.15 Update
Bug fix/enhanced command: GT_ALIGNMENTCF: GeoTools -> Civil Tools -> Alignment Cut/Fill Tool:
The GT_ALIGNMENTCF command is used to determine the cut and fill along an alignment. It uses the cross-sectional profile of the existing ground and the finished ground to arrive at the decision of a cut or fill along the alignment. By mapping the finished ground coordinates back to the source 3d polyline from which the existing ground profile was made, this command also enables a finished ground 3d polyline to be created.
The first input this command requires is the closed 2d polyline that represents the cross-section profile. This must be the created by the GT_PROFILE command. Please remember a few conditions for this command to work correctly.
For correct results, the exaggeration factor of the cross-section profile must be set to 1.0 and the distance measurement must be set to Horizontal.
GT_PROFILE parameters required for GT_ALIGNMENTCF command
The output from the GT_PROFILE command would be a closed 2d polyline that represents the cross-sectional profile of the 3d polyline. This is used as the input for the GT_ALIGNMENTCF command.
In the image above, the green line represents the actual existing ground as a closed 2d polyline - created by GT_PROFILE. The cyan line is the design (finished ground) profile which has been drawn as a continuous SPLINE object. It can even be a polyline, with arcs, splined or fitted. When GT_ALIGNMENTCF command runs, you need to first pick the existing ground profile polyline. This is a multiple selection option, so you need to complete the selection with an ENTER and then move on to select the finished ground (the SPLINE in this case).
Upon selecting these two, the program computes the cut and fill areas between the existing ground and finished ground and marks them with appropriate colors (red for cut and yellow for fill in this case).
The program also applies the finished ground coordinates back on the 3d polyline and a finished ground 3d polyline also is created.
(Fixed command): GT_VEGLINE (GeoTools -> Draw -> Draw vegetation cover symbols)
The GT_VEGLINE was crashing in earlier versions. This was a regression bug and has been fixed now.
(Enhanced command): GT_DEMGRID: GeoTools -> Civil -> Create a DEM grid from surface data:
The DEM created a 4-sided 3DFACE objects
The GT_DEMGRID command, introduced in the last update has been improved. It is now possible to create a 4-sided DEM grid of the data using 3dfaces also. This is a logical extension of the feature introduced earlier, where the DEM was created as a set of 3d rectangular grid points.
(Fixed command): GT_ABOUT (GeoTools -> More Options -> About GeoTools)
Th GT_ABOUT command was crashing with a bad argument type error if it was the first command to be called after startup. This has been fixed now.
