The fifth Edition of the Sishu Griha Model United Nations (SGMUN) was organized on July 27-28-29, 2017 and saw an active participation by young delegates from schools across Bengaluru today.

"After a one year hiatus, the only conference in Bangalore that caters almost exclusively to the first-time delegates is back for another session. Our main purpose is to identify budding talent and provide them with a platform to hone their skills. We hope to inculcate in the participants debating skills, diplomacy, analytical thinking and most importantly an interest in international affairs at an early stage." said Siddharth Abraham, Secretary General of SGMUN 2017.
The SGMUN saw an intensely productive debate spread over 3 days with the following committees putting across their views, counter-views and points across the table:
- General Assembly First Committee: Disarmament & International Security (DISEC)
- Economic & Social Council (ECOSOC)
- United Nations Security Council (UNSC)
- Court of Emperor Auerlian

The school has been able to attract some of the best speakers and thought-leaders to address the young MUNning minds in the city.
