The annual Bricsys jamboree has been announced. This time the user conference is in Paris, the global center for art and fashion.
The Date: October 24th and 25th 2017. This is when Bricsys management, their sales & development partners, key customers and members of the press bond together over 2 days of technical sessions followed by evenings of fun.
The Bricsys 2017 International Conference
I will be there at the conference bringing you the event live as it unfolds. Team India Bricsys will be represented by distributor DesignSense, EdgeBiz Design Catalyst and RAP Technologies. In the run-up to the conference which coincides with the V18 Release, we have enough clues about what to expect in the upcoming release. The Cloud, Building Information Modeling (BIM) and smart behavior CAD (a.k.a AI techniques) are stuff to watch out for: news leaks have revealed.
What has changed in 2017?
Plenty! Stability and speed have improved multiple times. Linux and Mac versions show a much higher degree of fidelity, compatibility and completeness in support. Sheet Metal and 3D Modeling has gained significant traction and mind share during the life-cycle of BricsCAD V17. This segment is keenly watched by the industry as BricsCAD ups the ante on Mechanical 3D modeling and inches closer to the big names like SolidWorks, SolidEdge and Inventor Fusion.
BricsCAD BIM is getting a dekko in 2017, something that we observed first time in India. We won our first BIM customers as well.
Day 2 of the conference promises to tell an incredible story about the future of DWG, the humble de facto standard design format conceived by Autodesk that Bricsys is betting on, banking on and is packing its entire intelligence of 2D, 3D, BIM and Sheet Metal functions into.

Day 2 @ Carroussl du Louvre: October 25 is for the general public, the CAD paparazzi, key clients..
The Location
The Day 2 event happens at the historic Carrousel du Louvre, a quarter kilometer away from the banks of the river Seine.
Does it cost to attend?
If you are a BricsCAD sales partner, there is no charge to attend this event. It is free of cost. For the general public, there is a EUR 95 fee to attend this event. Want to join? Book your tickets here
