In the second of our engagement with educational institutions, RAP Technologies, our reseller in Puducherry and Tamil Nadu, participated in the National level Technical symposium organized by the Civil Engineering department of Achariya College of Engineering Technology on 9th March, 2017.
This program brought together undergraduate students of civil engineering from Puducherry and neighboring Tamil Nadu to network in one place and exhibit their skills. More than 300 students participated in the technical and non-technical events.
Entering the BricsCAD arena
The technical events were Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation, Bridge IT, Concrete, Best Draft’s Man, Technical Quiz & CAD.
The Non-technical Events were Photography, Short Film, Treasure Hunt, Clay Modelling and Gaming Zone.
The symposium was inaugurated by Chairman of the institution, Dr. J. Arawindhan, in the midst of all key sponsors of the event, including RAP Technologies Pvt. Ltd. During the interaction rounds, the Principal of the college, Heads of Departments and students visited our booth and gathered information about BricsCAD.

What interested the students and faculty was the pitch put out by Bricsys India. "We want to enable engineering students in India to have relevant skills to deal with the pressures of industry design, drafting and detailing", said Mr. N.M Pakutharivu, addressing the faculty of ACET. "The demands of the industry is such that young engineers need to deliver solutions fast, and it is imperative that students learn what practical CAD productivity means, in addition to theoretical concepts that their curriculum teaches them".
