In our last post, we mentioned many new FREEWARE tools that were announced as part of CADPower V 16.15 release. In this post, we give you a overview and summary of all the new features in V 16.15 & 16.16.
CADPower V 16.15 / 16.16 Update
CADPower V 16.16 fixes a crash which was encountered while running it on Windows with non-Western locales. If you have tried using CADPower running under Chinese, Russian, Korean or Japanese versions of Windows, you would have encountered an error due to the non-Western extended character sets. Earlier, we proposed a manual workaround for this by asking you to change the System Locale to English in 'Control Panel'. This is no longer required as the issue has been fixed internally.
New command added: CP_HATCHINSVX: (CADPower -> Miscellaneous -> CAD Procedures -> First Set -> Insert vertex in hatch boundary): Allows the add vertices in hatch boundaries. It is even better than the AutoCAD version because you can specify exactly the perpendicular distance from existing segment to new point.
New command added: CP_SHOWPATHS (CADPower -> More Options -> Show system & DWG paths): The CP_SHOWPATHS command lists many of the system paths in which the CAD support files are saved. The first part of the command lists the system paths. Upon selecting the option that you want to browse, it is opened in Windows Explorer. This is a useful support tool to help users reach out to the different folders where support files are located.
The second part of this command lists the drawing folders. Both AutoCAD and BricsCAD specific folder are listed and you can browse to them using Windows Explorer using the key provided.
New command added: CP_HATCHDELVX: (CADPower -> Miscellaneous -> CAD Procedures -> First Set -> Delete vertex from hatch boundary): Allows the delete vertices from hatch boundaries by a single pick.
New command added: CP_LOCKVPCURLAYOUT: (CADPower -> Viewports -> Lock All Viewports in current layout): Available in AutoCAD, now in BricsCAD also via CADPower.
New command added: CP_UNLOCKVPCURLAYOUT: (CADPower -> Viewports -> UnLock All Viewports in current layout): Available in AutoCAD, now in BricsCAD also via CADPower.
New command added: CP_LOCKVPORTS: (CADPower -> Viewports -> Lock Viewports): Available in AutoCAD, now in BricsCAD also via CADPower.
New command added: CP_VPMAX: (Maximize a paper-space viewport): Available in AutoCAD, now in BricsCAD also via CADPower.
New command added: CP_VPMAXRESTORE: Restore original view setup after running VPMAX.
