Bengaluru, India
In the last 24 months or so, we have been adding new functions to GeoTools & CADPower at regular intervals while also improving existing ones, fixing defects, incorporating user requested tweaks and so on. We have also significantly improved the support and user experience, making it easier to search find commands that you need - quickly. While the online and CHM documentation are updated regularly, there has been some lag in providing detailed command documentation. Some of the new commands added recently are workflow driven like CP_BOM, CP_LINEQTY, CP_DATAMAN, GT_POLYLINSVX, GT_GEIMPORTIMAGE, GT_GERSHEET and require an understanding of several peripheral processes, and data files etc. We are on a major over-drive now to improve the quality of documentation of each one of the tools in GeoTools & CADPower.
Today, we have a loyal user-base for our products, both in India and overseas. Many of our users have been using our software since V1 - in 1999. I call upon all existing as well as new trial users to connect with me and let me know if you are finding it difficult to understand how to use any of our tools within GeoTools & CADPower. Some solutions require more than one tool to be accomplished successfully. We can help you to achieve that.
I would like to hear from you more often, louder and precisely what exactly you need on priority. We have over 375+ tools now in CADPower and GeoTools combined and it will take us some time to get all tools updated with top-quality documentation.
Maintaining a product like GeoTools and CADPower is on ongoing exercise. While the tools do provide immense productivity benefits to users, as a developer, we know we are never satisfied with the state of the tools. There is always room for more improvement.
Starting today, we will be informing you during each update, all the new improvements that have been made in the documentation.
