CADPower V 16.04 Update: What's New?
Improved: CP_BOM: (CADPower -> BOM/BOQ Tools -> Create Bill of Materials/Quantities): While adding blocks to the INI file from the selection, a filter has been put in place and AutoCAD temporry blocks starting with A$.... are now excluded. If you wish to consider temporary blocks in BOM, you must add it in manually. A small update but it helps get rid of a lot of unnecessary data in your BOM.
New command added: CP_BLKS2DWG (CADPower -> Blocks -> Block-related -> Export multiple blocks to DWG): The CP_BLKS2DWG command is used to export selected blocks from the drawing as independent DWG files. This is a handy tool if you have lots of symbol blocks in a master drawing which you want to export as individual DWG files. This command was available on the command line for a long time but was never in the user interface.
New command added: CP_WIPEOUT (CADPower -> Miscellaneous -> CAD Procedures -> Second Set -> Wipeout buffer around a polygon):
The CP_WIPEOUT command is useful to create a WIPEOUT mask around a closed polygon by defining a buffer (offset) zone around the polygon.
Improved: CP_IMPEX: (CADPower -> Export -> Import / Export points and lines):
In the Import points module, an option has been added to use the description of the point as block name. This ensures that each imported point can have its own block name derived from its description field. This is a common scenario with all survey data.
Fixed: CP_TILEPLACE: (CADPower -> BOM/BOQ Tools -> Place tiles / XY sized panels): This command was not creating a rectangular panel block automatically although it was reporting that it would do. As a result, the tile placing command never worked unless the user created a block herself and supplied it to program. Now, there is a mechanism to create the block automatically.
Improvements & fixes in commands introduced in 16.03:
Improved: CP_PLACEFIXTURES (CADPower -> BOM/BOQ Tools -> Place Openings): This command was earlier called CP_PLACEOPENINGS and has been renamed to CP_PLACEFIXTURES to better reflect what it does.
The two blocks for PLAN and ELEVATION fixtures were missing in the build in 16.03. It has now been added and is called SP_OPENING_ELEV and SP_OPENING_PLAN.
Improved: CP_COMPUTEWALLAREAS: (CADPower -> BOM/BOQ Tools -> Compute Wall/Openings areas): The CP_COMPUTEWALLAREAS command has been overhauled and improved. Various fixes, improvements and consistent reporting of areas now make the tool easier to work with.
