Ever since I first reviewed TurboSite in November 2012, I have been keenly following developments of this light-weight, feature-rich app.
The TurboSite team has done two things right on target - they have listened to user feedback (and improved user productivity), and delivered on many of the promises they made during its launch.
Here are a few of them picked from Ralph Grabowski’s post, and my impressions on them (in red):
- Runs on iPhones also, useful for senior management who use Reader on the go.
- Custom PDF field reporting (first in the mobile
space), user-feedback impact
- Search for text in GeoMarks, a great time-saver tool while on the field, remember – the field is not the most optimum working environment.
- Front-facing arrows, dimensions, and markup objects, regardless of 3D rotation, a usability improvement
- Notification of missing xref and fonts in DWG files, prevents being mis-led by incomplete data.
- Improved support for DWF and DWFx files, always welcome when more variants of DWF/x are supported.
Here is a round-up of the recent blog/media coverage of TurboSite 1.3:
CADInsider.com Roopinder Tara reports on the increased visibility that TurboSite generated at the AIA convention last month.
Ralph Grabowski reports on the new Revit link feature and more at the Revit Technolog Conference.
Architosh magazine awards TurboSite "BEST OF SHOW" awards at the AIA conference in the mobile category.
