Just before the release of BricsCAD BIM module, I talked to Luc de Batselier, CTO of Bricsys about the APIs supported by the BIM module.
He told me that the BIM COM API is exposed by referencing the BimAuto.dll file. You can use VBA to write your own apps using COM API. This explains why BIM runs on 32-bit BricsCAD only. The 64-bit versions do not support VBA. Luc also told that the COM API can be referenced using .NET calls, and the BIM commands can be called from Lisp as well.
Later, Torsten Moses confirmed to me that the BIM COM API can be called using the Lisp interface as well, like with other COMs accessed via Lisp. This is good news for Lisp developers!
