As Day 1 of the Bricsys 2012 International Conference comes to an end, the conference lives up to its reputation of entertaining us with interesting after-work parties. Today, we head to the The Heineken Experience for dinner. This is a historic brewery and corporate visitor center for the internationally famous Dutch pilsner, Heineken beer.
The industrial facility was built as the first Heineken brewery in 1867, serving as the company's primary brewing facility until 1988 when a more modern, larger facility was constructed on the outskirts of Amsterdam.
This is going to be an interesting place to visit. I have been home-brewing various types of beer for a while now and I am hoping to learn a few more tricks after this evening's rendezvous.
