Erik de Keyser, in this last presentation before lunch is explaining the rationale behind some of the new changes and moves that Bricsys is going to implement in the coming years.
Firstly, Erik stressed the importance of completeness i.e the need to have end-to-end solutions to provide a solid CAD platform on which you can build value-added applications.
Some key notes from his presentation:
- The boundaries between AEC, BIM, Mechanical and GIS is becoming diffuse.
- Powerful 2D and 3D capabilities is a must-have for end-users and application developers alike.
- Data extraction, import-export with external world in a secure way is VERY important to users
- Secure cloud-based data exchange/storage is way to go.
Next, he touched upon the support infrastructure that Bricsys has created - the BOA (Bricsys Online Administration) system that is central to all areas of customer management, the end-user technical support system etc.
A new marketing structure has been put in place which will be explained in more detail... to follow.
