During the 2011 Bricsys User conference, the CEO Erik de Keyser announced plans to offer Bricscad software FREE for students and educational institutions. This has been in line with the company's intention to introduce Bricscad software to the student community while they are still in college, so that they get a head-start and are exposed to all the latest Bricscad APIs and CAD design/modeling techniques.
We are pleased to renew, inform and make this announcement again about the academic program for educational institutions in India. Many of the operating procedures have been finalized and, if you are a student, you can now register online and obtain a 12-month Bricscad Platinum license for academic use.
Bricsys Academic Program gives students and educational institutions free access to all versions of Bricscad software and APIs. Once registered, students, instructors and educational institutions can download the software and then use it for 12 months.

As a third-party developer for AutoCAD and Bricscad, we extend this gesture by making available our GeoTools and CADPower software also to registered educational institutions at no cost.

We also offer an optional two-day orientation and training program for Bricscad as well as GeoTools-CADPower at the location of the educational premises.
Through its broad offering of APIs, Bricsys encourages students and instructors to dream up new and creative design functions, thereby contributing to exciting new developments in CAD and engineering software.
A unique e-store that enables students and educational institutions to sell their applications and inventions online to the world. Bricsys will facilitate the sales and payment procedure.
Once registered, students, instructors, and educational institutions can download the software, and then use it for 12 months. After this period, they must renew their qualification.
What do we expect from you?
Once you are a registered educational user of Bricscad and GeoTools/CADpower, we would like your faculty and students to use our software on a regular basis and create new, innovative designs, models, programs and processes using Bricscad. In particular, we would be keen to share on our web/blog any project drawings or models that have been created by the students.
