We will be releasing the eleventh version of GeoTools (V11) for AutoCAD on March 1, 2010. As usual, one of the main features of GeoTools V11 is compatibility with the newest release of AutoCAD. So, GeoTools V11 is going to be compatible with AutoCAD 2011 when it is released in the coming months. Apart from that, nothing has changed in GeoTools except
for the fact that it continues to grow and get better.
As for compatibility with earlier versions of AutoCAD, GeoTools V11 will continue to run on all versions of AutoCAD back until AutoCAD 2004. There is no change in that.
As for pricing, we have NOT rasied the prices of GeoTools on January 1 this year and will not be doing so on March 1 either when the new release in due. In fact, GeoTools prices have stayed static since October 15, 2008. So, that is some good news.
All V10 purchases of GeoTools made AFTER January 1, 2010 will receive a FREE upgrade to GeoTools V11 (electronic delivery only).
All other V10 users will need to purchase an upgrade to V11.
For GeoTools V9 users, THIS IS THE LAST CHANCE to upgrade to V10 (before February 28, 2010). From March 1 onwards, you will need to pay the full price (USD 199) to move to V11. From today until February 28, you can still upgrade to V10 for USD 79.95 and then get a FREE upgrade to V11.
